Charity
Work

Dams have a Charity Committee whose remit is to
raise awareness and raise money for our chosen
beneficiaries. The charity committee includes
employees of different levels with one representative
from each department who is the chosen voice of their
work colleagues.
Our Charity Committee is working with local
charities Claire House Children’s Hospice and The
Big Help Project with exciting and challenging
fund raising activities, as well as volunteering
activities. In 2024/25 we raised over Over
£18,000 through various fundraising activities.
Over the last two festive seasons, Dams have supported our local The Big
Help Project food bank (based on Knowsley Industrial Estate) by donat-
ing over 100 boxes of food, along with an additional donation of nappies,
baby food etc, to those in need. So instead of sending out fancy gifts to
customers as presents, Dams have allocated that money (plus staff dona-
tions and charity funds raised throughout the year) to much better use by
donating essential food parcels to people in our local area, engaging with
local communities to improve people’s lives
We held a charity golf day at
Blundells Hill Golf Club in support
of: Clatterbridge Cancer Charity
and Carla Lane Animals in Need.
Dragon Boat Race
Charity cycle
We sponsored a customers
charity cycle tour and raised
£2500 for evo foundation.
We participated in the Dragon Boat Race at
Liverpool Water Sports Centre. We will be
participating again this year, on Sunday the 7th
of September at Crosby Marina and Lakeside.
